A Power of Attorney, IRS form 2848, allows us to initially do five things that are critical in the settlement process. There are literally hundreds of actions we can take to benefit our tax clients with a power of attorney. We do not know when or what those other actions will be until we do the following:
We place a hold on your account at the IRS. This means that the IRS will not take any further action against you as long as you complete certain action items within a reasonable deadline. The first deadline will be to file all unfiled or if necessary an amended tax return. If additional time is needed the IRS is reasonable if we demonstrate a good faith effort and request additional time BEFORE the deadline has expired.

So what is a true testimonial? There are two types that you should only have confidence in.
The first is a letter from the IRS stating what the settlement was.
The second type of testimonial is to actually talk to a client that had a similar problem that we recently resolved.
